Ranchi University signed MoU with AMDER..

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the geology department of Ranchi University and Atomic Mineral Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMDER) on Tuesday during a virtual meeting. Apart from the Vice Chancellor, department head, professors and researchers were present during the signing.

The Vice Chancellor, Ramesh Kumar Pandey termed it as a historic agreement as this will not only help the researchers of geology but research scholars of physics, mathematics and chemistry as well. “Atomic minerals has a significant role in the current scenario as it produces less pollution,” Pandey said. “Jharkhand’s Jadugoda is famous for atomic mineral and there is immense possibility in this sector in the state,” he added.

According to the head of department, Vijay Singh this is first-of-its-kind MoU signed by any university in Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. This will help the researchers to carry out their work as AMDER has sophisticated laboratories across the country. He also said that they will soon launch a certificate courses which would benefit the students and the society. He also said that they are planning to open an atomic minerals museum in the university.
