Pakur becomes Jharkhand’s first covid-free district.

The only patient undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in Pakur-district in Jharkhand was discharged from hospital after his final RT-PCR report turned out “negative” on Monday. With this, now Pakur has become corona-free. Kuldeep Choudhary, district Deputy Commissioner, Pakur, said that after recovery of the last person infected with Coronavirus on Monday, there is now no more single infected patient in the district.

However, Choudhary said that so far in Pakur, the test report of 4,297 people is pending out of the 3,60,721 samples of people taken for the corona virus test while test report of 3,54,460 people turned out negative. Pakur became the first of 24 districts in Jharkhand to become corona-free during the second wave.
A total of 4,910 people were vaccinated in the district on Sunday of which the number of people aged 18 to 45 is 3,860 and the number of people over 45 is 1050, he added.
