No Entry for Commuters on Jubilee Park Road, To be Closed Forever..

Tata Steel and the district administration have settled upon closing the Jubilee Park road forever. The decision has been taken because of safety and security reasons. A final announcement regarding the closer of the road is yet to be made. Also, the gates of the park are already closed due to the pandemic.

The 237.75- acre jubilee park, modelled after Brindavan Gardens in Mysore, is considered the green heart of the city. It was a gift by Tata Steel to the citizens of Jamshedpur on the occasion of its golden jubilee in 1958.

In view of rising cases of accidents due to rash driving, especially in late evening, and movement of anti-social elements, Jubilee Park had restricted the entry of vehicles in the past. As per the decisions taken, there is no vehicle movement inside the Jubilee Park on Sundays for the convenience of the visitors.

Furthermore, both gates (entry and exit) of the park remain closed by 8.00 pm (Monday to Saturday) and no public movement were allowed 8.00 pm onward inside the park. Also, no vehicles are allowed on the road passing through JN Tata Statue, Mughal Gardens, Children Park and Nicco Amusement Park at any time.

A district official said that from now onward, the company has decided to ban the entry of vehicles in the park.
