Jharkhand’s Shahbaz Nadeem All Set For IPL As He Heads To UAE With Sunrisers Hyderabad On Sunday.

Shahbaz Nadeem is ready to show his skills in the IPL beginning September 19 in the UAE. Nadeem left Kolkata and has reported to his team Sunrisers Hyderabad on reaching Mumbai. On August 23, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team will leave for UAE.

Left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem will go back to a cricket ground after a long hiatus. Due to the corona outbreak, he had been staying in Dhanbad for the last three months. Before that, he had spent three months at Kolkata. Before joining his team, Nadeem got himself tested for corona, which came negative. Nadeem then headed for Mumbai. Sunrisers Hyderabad had bought Nadeem for three crore rupees. Nadeem had come into limelight after he was selected to represent India in Test cricket last year. Entire Dhanbad is waiting for a grand performance from Nadeem. Nadeem’s coach SA Rahman Jr. says that the impressive performances in domestic cricket have increased Nadeem’s confidence, which will definitely benefit him in IPL this time. This IPL, 60 matches will be played in three venues Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in 53 days.

Sunrisers Hyderabad players have been tested several times before their departure and will now have to stay in the 6-day quarantine on arriving in UAE. They will be tested again on the first, third and sixth days for corona. If the reports come negative, they will be able to enter the bio-bubble of the tournament and start training. The players and paramedics will be tested every fifth day during the tournament.

In his early life, Shahbaz Nadeem stayed in Siwandih, Bokaro Steel City, and practiced at Bokaro Training Hostel. Shahbaz Nadeem had, unfortunately, never got to play international cricket when, out of the blue, he got called up to cover for Kuldeep Yadav on the eve of the Ranchi Test of 2019-20 against South Africa. In the years leading up to that debut, Nadeem’s left-arm spin had done all that could be asked of it. He had taken 424 first-class wickets, 81 of which came for India A at an average of under 30. He also held the record for the best figures in List A cricket: 8 for 10 against Rajasthan in 2018-19. He ended three seasons with more than 40 first-class wickets. So hard did Nadeem have to work for the India cap that he was 30 by the time he earned it, and had, among his team-mates, made the earliest first-class debut, as a 15-year-old back in 2004-05.
