Jharkhand Health Minister Informs State Government Preparing To Fill 85 Thousand Vacancies In Health Department.

Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta informed that about 85 thousand posts including doctors and para medical staff personnel are lying vacant in the health department and the state government is preparing to fill these vacant posts. Health Minister Banna Gupta was travelling from Ranchi to Madhupur to attend the funeral of Minority Welfare Minister Haji Hussain Ansari. Minister Banna Gupta also said that the Center is not extending the expected cooperation to fight corona. The Minister added that the Health Department is struggling with shortage of doctors and medical staff. Some cases are in the court, due to which recruitment process is stalled.

On reports of ministers getting themselves treated in private hospitals instead of RIMS, Jharkhand State Health Minister said that everyone has the right to get treatment anywhere and it does not imply that RIMS is not good. Giving his own example, he stated that he was treated in RIMS and he is healthy now. Adding that the situation in RIMS has greatly improved, he said that Jharkhand is fighting and winning its battle with corona. Banna Gupta said that Jharkhand’s recovery rate is 86.43 percent. The corona tests which were earlier being done for Rs 4700 are now being done for Rs 1500 only. He said that arbitrary fee of private hospitals has been curbed. If a complaint is received then the registration of such hospitals will be canceled. He said that Ayushman Yojana is very good for the poor and added that action will be taken on receipt of any complaint.
