100 Special Trains To Connect Jharkhand, Bihar And Bengal To Run From Mid-October.

Indian Railways has some good news for people from Jharkhand, Bihar and Bengal. With festivals lined up – Durgapuja, Deepawali and Chhath – Indian Railways has announced 100 trains connecting these three states. The number of trains can go up as well. Railway Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) VK Yadav informed that 200 special trains will start during the festive season, half of which will connect Bihar, Jharkhand and Bengal.

Railway zonal managers have been asked to hold a meeting with the local administration. They would need to review the status of coronavirus infection and submit their report to the railway board. After the meeting of the local administration and the railways zonal managers, the number of special trains for the festive season will be decided. Mr. Yadav said that at present, the estimate is for 200 special trains. The number of special trains can also increase. Indian Railways will keep all health protocols in mind while starting the trains, while still in the Corona period and would not make any compromise with the health of the people.

The number of trains usually increases in the festival period with Indian Railways running special trains, especially during Durga Puja, Deepawali and Chhath. The number of railway passengers goes up and the railways earns a lot of revenue during the season.
