Syllabus For Classes 1 to 8 To Be Revised In Jharkhand, Up To 40 Per Cent Reduction Expected.

After the reduction in the syllabus for matriculation and intermediate, the Department of Education has decided that the syllabus up to Class 8 will also be revised. The syllabus of these classes will also be shortened by 40%. The decision on revision will be taken next week. Once the syllabus has been finalized, digital content will be sent as per the same.

The decision has also been influenced by low access to digital content. The Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training has also decided to reduce the syllabus for classes 1 to 8 by 40 per cent and the concerned teachers have been instructed in this regard. After the revised syllabus for high school and plus-two schools is released, JCERT will issue revised syllabus for primary and middle schools.

There will be no reduction in digital content provided from April to August during the corona transition period. After revision is completed, the digital content will be created based on the remaining syllabus. After the amendment, JCERT will prepare the content and it will be then sent to Doordarshan based on revised syllabus. The Board exams will be also held based on revised syllabus.
