Special Trains To Run From Dhanbad, Trains Cancelled Due To Corona To Restart.

Preparations are on to run some trains through Dhanbad district by converting them into special trains. Due to the corona epidemic, many trains have been cancelled over the last five months. Along with the Dhanbad-Ferozepur Ganga Sutlej Express, which starts from Dhanbad, three other trains passing through Dhanbad are also included in the list of trains that Railways plans to restart. The Railway Board is expected to announce the start dates of these trains very soon. This could provide relief to passengers travelling to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana.

The three special trains proposed to run through Dhanbad include 07007-07008 Secunderabad-Patna-Secunderabad Special, 02911-02912 Indore-Howrah-Indore Special and 08603-08604 Ranchi-Jayanagar-Ranchi Special. These trains have been selected from the list in the proposal of special trains sent from different zones. In coming days, with festivals coming up, the Railways is considering running a second phase of special trains. The pace of industrial activities has increased in various states of the country. Due to this, people are also inclined towards travel. Also, the migrant labourers are looking to return to metros in search of work.

With the proposed Ganga Sutlej Special train from Dhanbad, passengers going to various districts of UP and Punjab from Dhanbad will get a lot of relief. It is also being considered to run Patna-Secunderabad two days a week via Dhanbad-Jhajha. Passengers from many districts of Patna and Bihar will benefit from this train. People will be able to go to the major cities of Telangana and Chhattisgarh easily. The Indore-Howrah special is proposed to run three days in a week and the people will be able to travel to the cities of UP and Madhya Pradesh. With the start of Ranchi-Jayanagar, people of Dhanbad-Bokaro and other cities of Jharkhand will be able to reach various districts of Bihar easily. Preparations are on to run this train thrice a week.

There are 15 trains in the proposed new trains in the second phase, which will open from the stations of East Central Railway (ISR) or pass through the stations of the zone or will come to these stations. The list of proposed trains includes Jayanagar-New Delhi, Bandra-Patna, Porbandar-Muzaffarpur, Valsad-Muzaffarpur, Bandra-Saharsa, Bhagalpur-Delhi, Darbhanga-Lalgarh, Dibrugarh-Amritsar, Agartala-Deoghar, Madhupur-Delhi and Yeshwantpur-Bhagalpur special trains.
