COVID-19 Recovery Rate Jumps Above 97% in Jharkhand

COVID-19 cases seem to be under control in Jharkhand as the recovery rate in the state stands at 97.4 percent while the mortality rate is 0.89 percent. According to the State Health Department’s latest Covid-19 bulletin, the number of active cases in the state is now only 1,926. In the last 24 hours, 233 fresh cases and six fatalities were reported. Ranchi reported the maximum number of cases with 85, followed by Dhanbad with 28 and East Singhbhum with 22 cases. Of the six deaths, three were in Ranchi while one each was reported from Bokaro, East Singhbhum and Hazaribagh, taking the total death toll in the state to 977. Jharkhand tested 27,608 samples for Covid-19 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren took a review meeting of the Health Department and took information related to coronavirus infection and vaccine status. The Health Department said that the state plans to provide vaccines in four phases. At present, there are a total of 245 vaccine stores in the state and the number is being increased. The department also informed that plasma therapy, beds and ventilators are available in sufficient numbers.

The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to providing better health facilities.
