Clash broke out between two groups in Nagri over the issue of idol immersion.

Ranchi : Nagri market in Ranchi nearby the mosque, on Friday night, notice stone pelting during the immersion procession of Goddess Saraswati leading to a tense situation. Surrounding shopkeepers closed their shops. A prohibition orders has been imposed until further orders. Authorities stated that the situation is currently calm, with further investigations ongoing. Similarly, in Bihar’s Darbhanga, a clash occurred during a procession for the immersion of the deity’s statue, prompting district officials to intervene and restore order.

Hundreds of people had taken out a procession with musical instruments for the immersion of Maa Saraswati idol in Nagdi. Around 30 puja pandals were involved in the procession. They were returning after immersing the idol in Naya Talab while playing DJ. Then stone pelting started near Nagari Jama Masjid. This caused a stampede.

After receiving information about the incident, DC, SSP, City SP, Rural SP, DSP along with police officials from many police stations reached the spot. Hundreds of police forces have been deployed to control the situation.
