Bindeshwar Ganjhu’s property worth Rs 2 crores seized by ED..

On Thursday, Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized movable assets worth Rs 2.03 crores of Tritya Prastuti Committee (TPC) zealot Bindeshwar Ganjhu alias Bindu Ganjhu as a part of money laundering probe against him. The case is related to the collection of funds from contractors and transporters of Magadh Amrapali coal block area.

The assets freeze are in the form of vehicles registered in the name of Bindeshwar Ganjhu and his firm, Maa Gange coal trading pvt. ltd.

The statement issued by the agency said that its criminal case against Ganjhu and others under different sections of Prevention Of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) . An investigation was formulated upon the the FIR (02/2016) and the chargesheet (17/16) dated March 10, 2016, filed by Tandwa police under sections 414, 384, 386, 387 and 120-B of IPC, 25(1-B)A, 26 and 35 of Arms Act and 17(1)(2) of CLA Act. The case has been handed over to National Investigative Agency (NIA), Ranchi which later filed two charge sheets against Ganjhu.

Formerly, assets worth Rs 2.89 crores belonging to Bindu Ganjhu and Pradeep Ram and their two firms were already confiscated and now the case stands with the attachment of assets worth Rs . 4.92 crore.
