Urban Development Dept. to start e-auction of Land in Ranchi Smart City

The Jharkhand Urban Development Department is going to start the e-auction process to sell the plots in the Ranchi Smart City campus. A notice regarding the auction will be published in December and an online auction is likely to happen in January. A webinar to further illustrate the auction process is being organized on November 25, 2020, at 4 pm. Urban Development & Housing Department Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey will chair the webinar. The Secretary will answer important questions related to the auction and plans for the development of Ranchi Smart City.

Under the Smart City Mission, Ranchi Smart City Corporation Limited (RSCCL) is developing a greenfield based master plan covering 647.08 acres of land with the provision of state-of-the-art urban infrastructure. The project will offer opportunities to investors in the areas of real estate, health, education, housing and hospitality among others. During the auction, a total of 52 plots will be auctioned, of which 17 plots will be for institutional purposes, 8 residential, 16 Commercial, 2 public/semi-public while 17 will be of mixed-use. The reserve price of land in Smart City (the price at which the auction will start) will be one and a half times higher than the maximum circle rate.

The Ranchi Smart City Corporation Limited hopes to attract prospective investors to participate in the e-auction and to make them development partners in transforming Ranchi into a smart city. Ranchi is one of the 100 smart cities under the Smart City Mission of the Government of India.
