Stepson rethreaded the lips of a 65-year-old man with a rope, shackling him to the railway track.

At Bhitihara village in Untari Road Block of Palamu district, a horrible incident took place where a 65-year-old man was extricated by Jharkhand police after being spotted by villagers, fettered with a railway track along with his lips stitched together with a rope. The elderly man implicated his stepson for the crime that took place of sewing his lips and tying him up to a railway track near Sigsigi cabin.

Bhola Ram, aged 65, reported to the police that while going to the washroom late at night, his stepsons with two others captured him and thrashed him hardly. He narrated that after beating him badly, the three men knitted his lips with a rope, tied his hands and legs, and carried him to a nearby railway track. Afterward, Bhola Ram was secured by railway sleepers around 11 pm while others left abandoning him at the crime scene.

Early morning, villagers found Bhola Ram tied to the railway track. Subsequently, the villagers enlighten the situation to the police. Then the victim was rescued and taken to the hospital for further treatment where doctors treated him and removed the rope that was used for stitching his lips, police added.

According to the report filed, Bhola Ram’s second wife was also accused as a prime suspect. Although in 2010, Bhola Ram married for the second time after the demise of his first wife. Soon after the marriage, common arguments took place between the married couples, and even the matter was highlighted before panchayat six months back.
Meanwhile, police said they are investigating the case and strict punishment will be given to the accused suspects.
