Railways has increased the fares of AC Chaircar (Executive Class) of Tata-Howrah Pooja Special by Rs 315. The fares for the Steel Express were Rs 1060 earlier, while in the Tata-Howrah Pooja special train, the fares for the chaircar have been increased to Rs 1375. Similarly, the fares of AC Chaircar were Rs 445 in Steel Express, but in Pooja Special, fares have been increased by Rs 110 to Rs 555. Fares of second seating have also been increased from Rs 125 in Steel Express by Rs 10 to Rs 135 in the Pooja Special.
Railways have started operating trains by naming them as Pooja Special Trains, but have increased the fares. Due to non-operation of passenger trains, the problems faced by passengers had gone up. Now the increased fares could lead to additional issues. It has been seen that only those passengers are traveling in these trains for whom travel is unavoidable. Due to this, more than half of the available seats remained vacant on the first day of running of the trains.
