New State Emblem Of Jharkhand Released On Friday; Applicable From 15th August.

A new emblem of Jharkhand was released one day before Independence Day celebrations. Speaking on its release on Friday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that Jharkhand has got a new emblem reflecting the rich heritage of the state. He said that this symbol underlines Jharkhand’s culture and its identity and is a symbol of consciousness. Considering the natural surroundings of the state and the philosophy of life here, it fully reflects the state’s identity.

Governor Draupadi Murmu released the new logo of the Jharkhand government on Friday. The new logo will be applicable from 15 August. The circular circumference of the insignia houses elephants, local festivals, palash flowers and the Ashoka pillar in the center. Chief Minister Hemant Soren was also present at the ceremony organized for the unveiling at Aryabhatta Auditorium in Moharabadi. On this occasion, the Chief Minister presented a picture of the state emblem to Governor Draupadi Murmu, Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the sons of Jharkhand fought a long struggle for the independence of the country. Thousands of heroes sacrificed their lives. Jharkhand has been playing an important role in the formation of a new India since independence. The workers here are bringing prosperity to other states through their labour. This tribal-dominated state always believes in collectivity. The new state symbol is the charioteer of change. The insignia reflects the spirit of Jharkhand.

Governor Draupadi Murmu said that this symbol is associated with the identity and self-respect of the state. It incorporates the state’s culture, natural mineral wealth, which is amazing. He said that the whole world is going through a period of corona transition today. The number of infected people in the state is also increasing continuously. Speed of the testing will have to be increased further, thereby preventing community transmission. He saluted the efforts of the Corona warriors.

The salient features of the new symbol of Jharkhand are :

– Cyclical configuration instead of square is indicative of the moving wheel of development.

– Ashoka Emblem : The new logo has the national emblem at the centre with ‘Satyameva Jayate’ etched below. The Ashoka emblem is enclosed in concentric circles depicting the state’s culture and its abundant natural resources. As a symbol of the nation, the state is also the carrier of sovereignty. Underlining this sign also means Jharkhand is a partner in the prosperity of the country. The philosophy of life in Jharkhand is included in it.

– Saura Painting : The folk life and culture of Jharkhand reflects the rich and wonderful cultural heritage of Jharkhand, the age-old tradition, the indelible imprint of instruments, songs and dance in the minds of the people.

– Palash flowers : The flower of the state. Its red flowers tell the saga of beauty of Jharkhand. The red color is also a symbol of revolution which reflects the struggle of the people here been through. The black color under the flower is indicative of mineral wealth here.

– Green color : Shows the wealth of the land and forest wealth covered with greenery of Jharkhand. It symbolizes happiness and prosperity.

– Elephant : The animal of the state. It proclaims the supernatural natural wealth, prosperity and strength of the state. Elephants are also very disciplined. People in the state also abide by this discipline. People here do not hold back in conflict in the event of struggle like elephants.
