Most Wanted Maoist Boyda Pahan Surrenders In Ranchi Along With Three Other Comrades.

Naxalite sub zonal commander Boyda Pahan, synonymous with terror in Ranchi, Khunti and Seraikela Kharsawan districts, surrendered before the police on Monday along with three of his comrades. He was being searched for in 48 cases, including attack on police, landmines blast, looting arms from police. There was an award of five lakh for anyone who provided whereabouts and information about him. He surrendered along with a carbine, a pistol, two rifles and 12 bullets to Ranchi Range DIG Akhilesh Kumar Jha, Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chavi Ranjan, Rural SP Naushad Alam, City SP Saurabh and other officials.

According to the information, Boyda was accused of molesting a woman naxalite of the organization under influence of alcohol. He was then expelled from the organization. According to Boyda, the allegations were false and he left the organization due to the same. Subsequently, he came in contact with Ranchi’s SSP Surendra Kumar Jha, DSP Neeraj Kumar, Namkum police station in-charge Pravin Kumar etc. and surrendered under the ‘Nayi Disha – Ek Nayi Pahal’ policy.

Boyda hails from Jilingkela in Murhu police station area of ​​Khunti. Those who surrendered with him include Gonda Pahan alias Chacha, resident of Jujram Tola Dibdih of Marangahda police station area, Birsa Mundu, a resident of Khatanga in Khunti police station area, and Birsa Munda alias Kirti, a resident of Siladon Dudurdag in Namkum police station area. They militants were given a cheque of one lakh rupees after surrender. Boyada said that he had seen enough of bloodshed and wanted to live a normal life now. He expressed concern about future of his chidren and said that he wanted them to become doctors. He sent a message to his fellow comrades to take advantage of the surrender policy and return to mainstream. 48 cases are registered against Boyda Pahan in different police stations of Ranchi, Seraikela and Khunti. Two cases are registered against Gonda Pahan, four cases against Birsa Mundu and two cases against Birsa Munda.
