Interacting with reporters after matriculation results were released at the Jack office in Namkum on Wednesday, Ranchi Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato said that this year had seen the best result of matriculation exams for last five years. He was very satisfied with the result and announced that an alto car would be given as a prize to the state topper in matriculation exams. Also, the topper in his home district Giridih will be given a bike as an award.
Stating that the matric results are an assessment of the hard work done by the students for one year, he added that the pass percentage in results is increasing continuously. The education minister said that online education in schools is not up to the mark and he was not satisfied, also adding that options are being considered.
Jack chairman Dr. Arvind Prasad Singh said that the matriculation results would have been released much earlier. But due to Corona, the evaluation of copies was interrupted for three months. The evaluation work commenced from May 28, only after meeting the safety standards of the Covid-19, which lasted until June 25. It also got the requisite support of Jack employees and officers.
