High Court Asks RIMS To Provide Reports For Corona Tests Within 48 hours, Orders Filling Of Vacant Posts.

The High Court has expressed displeasure over arrangement in RIMS and ordered that corona tests resports should be completed within 48 hours. A bench of Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, hearing the case expressed that reports should be given within this timeframe so that spread of infection can be prevented. It also asked for arrangements to be made so that patients do not have to go at any other place other than RIMS for testing and medical supplementation. The bench ordered the government to fill all the vacant posts in RIMS quickly and asked for steps to be taken to make the appointment process to fill all the vacancies of other posts including doctors, nurses and para medical staff.

The bench expressed concern over taking care of the health of the general public if the condition of the state’s largest hospital remains in shambles. It also ordered that the Trauma Center should have uninterrupted supply of oxygen to save lives of critically ill corona patients. During the hearing, Health Secretary Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni and Dr. Manju Gaadi, Director in-charge of RIMS were present through video conferencing and informed the bench about the situation.
