Chief Minister to Award State Toppers of Board Exams on December 3

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will reward toppers of Matric and Inter Examination on December 3, 2020. The Jharkhand Education Project Council has sent the names of the toppers of CBSE and Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Board Examination to all districts. Three state toppers of 10th and three each from science, commerce and arts stream of 12th will be awarded by the Chief Minister. These students will be rewarded with a cash prize ranging from 50 thousand rupees to three lakh rupees.

The government had decided to award toppers of CBSE, JAC and ICSE board students, however, no names have been declared yet by the ICSE board. JEPC Director Shailesh Chourasia said that the department is trying to get the names of ICSE board toppers.

Akansha-40 Students to be Awarded

The Chief Minister will also award the students of Akansha-40, a state-run free coaching program for medical and engineering preparation, on December 3. A total of eight students, who performed well in the medical and engineering examinations of the year 2020, will be given a laptop and a citation. A letter in this regard has been issued by the Jharkhand Education Project Council. This year, four students of Akanksha-40 have been selected for enrolment in IIT and three in medical colleges. At the same time, one student has been selected for BIT Sindri.

Clean School Awards

Apart from this, 119 schools will also be awarded the ‘Clean School Awards’ on December 3. Out of 119, nine schools will be awarded by the chief minister during the state-level program being organized tomorrow. The schools will be given cash ranging from 50 thousand rupees to 2 lakh rupees. Five private schools have also been selected for the award.
