101 new cases of corona infections were identified in Jharkhand on Sunday. 2 corona patients in the state lost their lives. Till date close to 5500 positive cases of corona have been reported in the state. Today, 2 corona-infected patients from Dhanbad and Ranchi lost their lives. With this, death toll from corona reached 55 in the state.
Corona spread has been unstoppable in Jharkhand. Every day more than two hundred new cases of corona infection are being reported. This month, the figure has crossed the 300 mark twice. Here, after the arrival of 289 new patients in the state a day earlier, by Sunday evening the figure had crossed 100, while reports were yet to come from most places. 2 patients lost their fight to corona in Ranchi on Sunday. One patient was from Dhanbad and one from Ranchi.
On Sunday too, corona cases were reported from almost all the districts of the state. However,there was no testing done in RIMS’ labs on Sunday after doctors and lab technicians were found infected with the virus earlier. Even then, by evening the number of new patients had exceeded a hundred. There have been reports of 20 new corona patients from Lohardaga. At the same time, many new cases have also been found in the districts of Ranchi, Dhanbad, Giridih, Dumka, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Koderma etc.
Two corona patients died in RIMS today. It is said that one of these patients was from Dhanbad. The 68-year-old patient was suffering from severe pneumonia. At the same time, an elderly resident of Sukhdevanagar of Ranchi also died. He was already suffering from heart disease, he died on Sunday morning due to cardiac arrest. The number of active patients in the state has now increased to 2688. At the same time, the total cases of corona have reached 5499. It is a matter of relief that 2656 patients have recovered as well.
Ranchi now has the highest number of active cases in the state. The number of active patients has increased to 444. In the second place is East Singhbhum where the number of active cases has increased to 418. Numbers in districts may be expected to increase by night.
