861 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in Jharkhand till Saturday evening. 5 people died including an IRB jawan from Ranchi. Except the jawan, all the patients were of aged and were suffering from respiratory and other diseases.
678 cases of corona had been reported on Friday. Number of corona cases in the state have now gone past 17 thousand. On Saturday the highest 311 cases were found in Ranchi while 286 patients tested positive in Giridih.
On Saturday, an IRB jawan dies at RIMS. He was a resident of Mesra in Ranchi. Four corona patients died at TMH in Jamshedpur too. Three of them were over 75 years of age. All patients had respiratory problems.
The number of active patients in the state now stands at 9,397 while the total count of cases is 17,094. 7,503 patients have recovered from the infection while194 corona patients have died in the state. Most of them were of old age and were suffering from other serious diseases as well.
12 positive cases were reported from Bokaro, 37 from Chatra, 13 from Deoghar, 53 from Dhanbad, 5 from Dumka, 24 from Jamshedpur, 286 from Giridih, 5 from Godda, 16 from Gumla, 3 from Hazaribagh, 3 from Jamtara, 30 from Khunta, 8 from Koderma , 4 from Pakur, 3 from Palamu, 311 from Ranchi, 18 from Sahibganj, 14 from Simdega, 13 from Lohardaga and16 cases were reported from Singhbhum.
