Jharkhand Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato Takes Admission In Class 11 In Bokaro, Will Resume Studies At Age Of 53

The education minister of Jharkhand, Jagarnath Mahato, will resume studies at the age of 53. He took admission in Class 11 in Devi Mahato Inter College, Nawadih, Bokaro on Monday. He had given up studies after completing his matriculation in 1995. After becoming the Minister of Education, people have often raised their voice on how a person who has only studied till class 10 would handle the Ministry of Education.

The principal of the college, Dinesh Prasad Varnwal, himself registered the Minister of Education in Arts stream. The Minister went to the office room in the college and filled the nomination form and submitted it along with a fee of Rs 1100. The Education Minister said that he would do all his activities keeping his work in mind. He said that he would attend classes, will handle ministries and would also do harvesting at home, so that other people will also get inspired by his work.

In January this year, when he took over as Education Minister, some people commented that a tenth pass person has been given the responsibility of the Education Department. The minister then decided that he would study further. Jagarnath Mahato said that there is no age limit to get the education and people even prepare for IAS, IPS while doing jobs and also succeed at it. The Education Minister said that he has a passion to do something. He added that the state government is constantly striving to improve the quality of education. On Monday, they have signed on a plan to establish 4,416 Adarsh ​​Inter-Schools in the state. The proposal will go to the cabinet and after getting approval from the State Council of Ministers, model schools would be set up all across the state that would provide quality education to the children living in rural areas. He told that it is his endeavour that poor students can get a free and quality education. Ever since Jagarnath became an MLA, he has been bearing the expenses of higher education of poor children.
