The number of coronavirus cases in Jharkhand has crossed 7000. A total of 79 deaths have been caused by corona in the state so far. 240 new corona positive cases have been confirmed from different districts of the state on Thursday. 2 patients lost their lives due to coronavirus infection on Thursday.
In the cases reported on Thursday, 134 were from the capital Ranchi, 33 from Dhanbad, 30 from Jamshedpur, 20 from Palamu, 9 from Ramgarh while 3 new patients from Lohardaga. On Thursday, samples from 896 corona suspects were examined at the RIMS in Ranchi out of which 729 were found to be negative. 240 new cases were reported in the state. In some good news, 126 patients recovered completely from the infection.4
Like in all other states, corona infection is still spreading continuously in Jharkhand as well. The number of people who are getting infected is continuously increasing and the old records are being broken every day. For the first time, the new cases of corona infections in the state in a day crossed 500 on Wednesday. A large number of people have been again been found positive in the state on Thursday after a total of 518 new cases were received on the previous day. It is noteworthy though that in various districts, many patients recovered as well and were able to make it back to their homes on Thursday. In Ranchi, former MLA Shivpujan Mehta was also discharged from the hospital.
The highest number of new cases in the state are being reported from capital Ranchi. Also, new cases were reported from Palamu, Garhwa, Lohardaga, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Dhanbad, Ramgarh, Simdega and Jamshedpur. 2 patients lost their lives in Jamshedpur on Thursday due to Corona infection. A 57-year-old employee of Tata Steel died while being treated in TMH in Jamshedpur. In TMH, an old man from Sonari also died. The two patients were suffering from other serious diseases as well.
More than 200 cases have been reported in the state for ten consecutive days. On Wednesday, a record 518 new cases were reported. This has now increased the number of active patients to 3834. The total cases of Corona so far have gone past 7000. However, more than 3000 patients have also recovered and are completely healthy now. 79 people have died so far in the state from coronavirus infection.
The meetings of Jharkhand Assembly committees will remain suspended till 31st July. An order has been issued to sanitize the assembly premises. The decision was taken after two MLAs CP Singh and Mathura Prasad Mahato tested positive for corona. CP Singh had come to the assembly to attend a meeting on the previous day.
