Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel breathed his last after multi-organ failure on Wednesday. He was 71. His son Faisal Ahmed, in a tweet, said that the Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat died at 3:30 am on Wednesday. The veteran politician was undergoing treatment in a Gurgaon hospital after his health worsened following Covid-19 infection.
Chief Minister and Congress leaders of Jharkhand expressed their grief over the demise of Ahmed Patel. Chief Minister Hemant Soren prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this grief.
