A photograph of few kids performing namaz in the middle of the road went viral on social media on March 14. The incident took place in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. Police has arrested three people in the case of posting photograph on social media. As the road was blocked by children performing namaz, there was a traffic jam on both sides of the road. BJP MLA Manish Jaiswal had demanded action from the district administration in the case.
BJP MLA of Hazaribagh, Manish Jaiswal said that people with cheap mentality were behind this incident. They used children by putting their life at risk and provoking them to offer namaz on the road.
After the photograph went viral, police solicit a reply from Ibrahim mosque in the area and asked for details. As per the reports, the mosque representative said that the incident took place because of the miscreants and they should be punished.
According to the reports, the photograph was taken during the Jumma namaz on March 12. A ‘peace committee’ meeting was held on Saturday under the leadership of DSP Rajiv Kumar where he said that children offering namaz on road caused inconvenience to people. He also demanded strict actions against the miscreants involved in this.
Ibrahim Mosque’s Mohammed Feroz said, ” children offered namaz on the road because of ‘their innocence’ and no adult was involved in the same”. He further added that children will be given community punishment so that this doesn’t happen again.
