All block offices in Jharkhand will have a separate room for the MLA where the MLA will be able to hold meetings. This arrangement has been made possible by the continuous efforts of Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato. The Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Jharkhand has issued a letter of order to all the Deputy Commissioners and Deputy Development Commissioners in this regard. It is mentioned in the letter that a decision in this regard has been taken in the Meeting of the Council of Ministers and this facility should be made available soon.
The education minister had conversations with Chief Minister Hemant Soren and informed him that there should be a dedicated place for the public to meet and interact with their representative. The block office may be the best medium for this and to achieve the needed results, the MLA should be provided with a room in the block office. At the same time, he mentioned in his letter that the people resort to the Chief Minister’s public discourse to discuss their issues. On the same lines, a facilitation centre should be set up in every block office of the state to have a public dialogue with the MLA on behalf of the Government.
With the issuance of the departmental letter for the same, Minister Jagarnath Mahato said that the approval of the room in the block office will prove to be a milestone in the interest of the public. Now MLAs will be available and readily accessible for the common people in their office on the scheduled day. This will help the common man to get the solution to their issues.
