Dhanbad MP PN Singh has not tested positive for coronavirus but a containment zone has been declared, with his house as the focal point. Additionally, his house has been sealed by the district administration. The development is part of the administrative exercise after the MP’s bodyguard tested positive for corona. The MP and his family members will remain in home quarantine for 14 days. The people of Dhanbad and Bokaro districts will also not be able to meet their public representative under Dhanbad parliamentary constituency, though people can talk to MP PN Singh on the phone.
The test report of the MP’s bodyguard which came on Monday confirmed him to be positive for coronavirus. The bodyguard has since been admitted to the Covid Hospital for treatment. On the other hand, the district administration has sealed the MP’s Dhansar residence to prevent further spread of infection. On Tuesday, SDM Raj Maheswaram went to Dhansar to complete the process of sealing the house. Outsiders are completely from visiting the MP’s house to prevent contact with any infected person. This was necessary as people keep visiting the public representative’s house and with a corona positive patient being found here, there is a high risk of the infection spreading in people visiting his house.
After his bodyguard tested positive for coronavirus, the MP and all his family members will be tested as well as a precautionary measure. MP PN Singh has recently got himself tested for coronavirus and the reports had come negative but he may need to get tested again. Since a containment zone has been marked around the house and the residence has been sealed as well, curfew will be imposed in the area.
