The corona infection continues to spread at a rapid rate in Jharkhand. On an average 125 new cases have been reported every day in July. While Tuesday broke previous records when 268 new patients tested positive for coronavirus, Wednesday did not bring any relief with 193 new cases reported in various districts of the state till 9 pm. A large number of new cases have come from Ranchi. 107 samples tested positive in tests conducted at RIMS. The total number of corona positive found today went up to 193. In news which did bring some relief, 57 patients recovered from the infection.
Out of the 193 corona positive cases in Jharkhand on Wednesday, 37 new cases were reported in Ranchi, 20 in Hazaribagh, 11 in East Singhbham, 7 in Palamu, 5 in Sahibganj, 2 each in Ramgarh, Dhanbad and Giridih while 1 case was reported Simdega. The investigation report is still awaited for some samples from RIMS. Today, two patients died in Jamshedpur while one death was reported from Hazaribagh.
Jharkhand has received an average of 125 new infections per day this month. The total number of active patients in the state stands at 1882 while 2428 patients recovered. There were 38 deaths due to coronavirus infections. The total corona cases in the state till 30th June were only 2,490 which increased to 4,246 by July 14. It is noteworthy that the number of active cases till 30th June was 591. In 15 days, the number has almost tripled.
