Chief Minister Hemant Soren And Other MLAs Go Into Home Quarantined After Health Minister Tests Positive For Coronavirus Infection.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is now in home quarantine from Wednesday. All his programmes have been cancelled Health Minister Banna Gupta attended the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Thereafter, he tested positive for coronavirus infection. The MLAs who also attended the meeting have also gone into quarantine. The meeting was attended by all the ministers except drinking water minister Mithlesh Thakur. Now, all the officers of the Chief Minister’s office, including principal secretary to the Chief Minister, press advisor, have also gone into home quarantine.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren was to attend the launch of the Livelihood Promotion Skills Campaign on Wednesday and the unveiling and appointment letter distribution programme of Palash brand. The programme has now been cancelled after the CM went into home quarantine. Hemant Soren would get tested for Covid-19 later this week. Earlier too, the CM has got himself testes twice for Covid-19 with both tests results coming negative.

Last month as well, Chief Minister Hemant Soren had gone into home quarantine in government accommodation. Back then, cabinet ministers Mithlesh Thakur and MLA Mathura Prasad Mahato had tested positive for coronavirus. Hemant had come in contact with both and hence went into home quarantine and got himself tested.
