Union Minister Arjun Munda launched app Indo Buddy, which has been created by Abhishek Mahato, a student of class 11 at DAV School from Khunti district of Jharkhand. The app can stand up to WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram and it also outperforms them in several features and can be termed as a combined form of these three foreign apps. Abhishek said that people will be able to connect anyone in the world on Indo Buddy. The Indo Buddy app is designed with user privacy as the main consideration, as it is a primary concern in all apps. Users’ data will be stored within India and will never be shared with any third party without user’s consent. Features have been implemented so that videos and messages will be safe. Abhishek said that the main objective of developing this app is to make India self-reliant in the matter of the app. The app has been created with the aim of reducing dependency on foreign apps.
Abhishek said that he had created home food delivery app earlier which is being used to get food home delivered from restaurants and hotels. Java and dot net along with PHP programming have been used to design the app. Abhishek’s friend Anurag Kumar Jha has also been instrumental in creation of the app. Atal Tinkering Lab located in the premises of DAV, Khunti, and computer teacher Dharamvir Kumar have also provided a lot of support to Abhishek to create the app. Union Minister Arjun Munda heaped praise on the student and said that the way he designed this app, shows that his future is bright. Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan, Sub-Divisional Officer Hemant Sati, MP Representative Manoj Kumar, BJP District President Chandrashekhar Gupta and DAV computer teacher Dharamvir Kumar were present at tha launch of the app.
