Stamp papers used for registry of land and flats, including the ones used to prepare copies, are now completely online. The trial to sell stamp papers online has been completed by the Department of Land Revenue and Registration. From September 5, e-stamps will be available online across the state including Ranchi. Anyone can buy stamp papers online as per their need while sitting at home.
Deputy Inspector General of Registration Department Saheb Siddiqui has issued general information in this regard and appealed to the people to buy the stamp online as per the requirement. He added that in order to get stamp papers in corona period, people had to queue up outside banks and other places to buy stamp paper. But with the implementation of the new system, people do not need to go anywhere. Now one can buy stamp papers as per their convenience anytime in the day, with the service being available throughout the 24 hours.
To purchase stamp duty online, one would need to open the website of the Registration Department of the Jharkhand and click on the Gras Payment. After selecting stamp duty there, one would need to enter the token number already received. After this, choose the name of the party vendor or vendee. The name of the depositor can be seen there. After entering the amount, online payment can be done by clicking on proceed. One can take a print of the stamp after the entire payment process is over.
