Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the state government aims to provide employment by developing the industries in Jharkhand. A stakeholder’s conference was held on the 6th of this month with various industrial establishments in Delhi for the development of the industries. CM said that a new industry policy will be made in the state which will act as a bridge between the entrepreneurs and the State Government.
While addressing the inaugural program of ‘Nandghar’ by ESL, Vedanta, Bokaro from his office chamber at State Assembly, the CM said, “it is a commendable step by ESL Vedanta group to operate a large number of ‘Nandghars’ in Bokaro district. With the inauguration of ‘Nandghars’, work has started to give a new face to Anganwadi centers located in rural areas. This is an important effort for the development of children and women in rural areas.”
The CM also said that the Vedanta group should prepare a special action plan on health services in Bokaro and work for better health facilities for the common masses. He said that the convenience given to the common people by the Vedanta group will always stand with them. And only with the help of each other, socio-economic development is possible.
Soren further said that there is no shortage of resources in the state, there is a need for better use of these resources. The CM also said that industries should be established in all the districts of the State. He further added that industry establishments should also speed up local developments under CSR.
The CM said that Vedanta has given a facelift to Anganwadi centers with ‘Nandghar’ and training programs for the all-round development of children and development of women are being done in the centers. The CM also made a virtual observation of ‘Nandghar’ at Sindurpeti and spoke to the Anganwadi workers and villagers.
Nandghar is a community resource center for underprivileged children and women. While focusing on the issues related to pre-primary education, health, and nutrition, the ‘Nandghar’ project will also look after the economic empowerment for women of the village. The project has been made with the participation of the Ministry of Women and Child Development and is planned to set up 4,000 such centers across the country.
