Sumit Kumar, a young wicketkeeper-batsman from Bokaro, Jharkhand, idolises Dhoni. He has watched and learnt from the former Indian captain first hand and wants to walk on the same path as Dhoni.
Sumit, a 25-year-old wicket-keeper batsman started playing cricket at the age of 10 and firmly believes that consistency is the key to success. He was introduced to a coaching centre at the age of 10 by his father who was a mechanic by profession and a backbone of his dreams. Sumit had to take a bus or sometimes walk for 7 to 8 kilometres to reach the coaching centre, but his passion for cricket drove him towards his dream of becoming a professional cricketer.
Sumit shared a picture on M.S Dhoni’s birthday and captioned it as : From sharing the dressing room with you to taking tips and suggestions from you, it was an honor to play alongside you.
