RIMS Introduces PhD Course to Promote Research

Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for the first time is starting PhD course and has invited applications for the same. RIMS is the oldest medical college in Jharkhand and currently has course till Post Graduation level. Newly appointed Director Dr. Kameshwar Prasad soon after his joining had said that he wants to make RIMS better than AIIMS and research would be his priority. Now the PhD course has been introduced at this premier institute. The last date for application for PhD course at RIMS is December 15.

With the start of PhD course, research on various topics will be done continuously at RIMS and dozens of research publications, journals etc. can be published by the institute. The addition of PhD course will not only provide breakthrough in research, but the benefits of research can be passed on to the patients. RIMS is the first medical college in Jharkhand where PhD course has been introduced.

Dr. Kameshwar Prasad is also a member of the Expert Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO). Previously during his tenure at AIIMS New Delhi, he did hundreds of research on various subjects.
