Municipal Court, which has been closed for the last six months due to coronavirus epidemic is all set to open from October 1. Municipal Commissioner, Deputy Municipal Commissioner 1 and Deputy Municipal Commissioner 2 courts will start hearing cases including those of illegal construction and flat registration. Ranchi Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar issued instructions on Tuesday and also directed to initiate hearings in the court and abide by the conditions and rules.
It has been made mandatory to sanitize hands before entering the court and use masks when in premises. Only one advocate from both sides will be allowed to appear in the court during the hearing. The parties will not enter the court under any circumstances. Social distancing will also have to be adhered to in the court premises.
The court of the Municipal Commissioner and Deputy Municipal Commissioner had been closed during the lockdown. Now complaints including flats not being registered by the builder, illegal constructions in the court, societies and apartments not adhering to rules etc. have been lodged in the court. Taking a view of this, the Municipal Commissioner has allowed the court to be open as before.
