All borders of Jharkhand have been sealed. Barricading has been done along borders with Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and Chattisgarh. Police force has been deployed at the borders on the orders of the police headquarters.
The people who are traveling with passes are being allowed through only after elaborate medical check ups. Each and every vehicle entering Jharkhand is being thoroughly searched. As per state government orders, all commercial vehicles which are not carrying essential items have been prohibited from entering the state. Barricades have been put up at villages which share borders with other states as people can cross states using the rural areas. Extra vigilance and checking is being done at borders with Bihar as its corona condition is even worse than Jharkhand.
The police headquarters have also instructed all districts to register cases against people who are roaming around without wearing masks. The same orders have been given to traffic police in Ranchi as well. Sealing orders will be issued for shops not following social distancing rules. It has been noticed that during the ‘unlock’ phase shops opened but did not adhere by the social distancing rules.
