Forecast For Heavy Rain And Thunderstorms For Next Three Days In Jharkhand.

Heavy rain is predicted in different parts of Jharkhand for three consecutive days starting Wednesday. A low-pressure cyclonic area has developed in North Bay of Bengal. This cyclonic area could be there for the next couple of days. Taking a view of this, the Met department has issued a warning to the entire state for three days. Director, Met Department, Dr. SD Kotal said that the monsoon will be fully active in the state for three days.

Heavy rain is expected in East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, Saraikela-Kharsawa, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur and Sahibganj. Heavy rain is also expected in Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Ramgarh, Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra on Wednesday. Heavy rain is expected on Thursday at Latehar, Lohardaga, Koderma, Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, Saraikela-Kharsawa, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur and Sahibganj. Heavy rain could occur in most of the districts on Friday as well.

There is also a possibility of thunderstorms with strong winds in these areas. Farmers should avoid going to work in the field. Also, the grazing of cattle in the open should be avoided. For the three days, the Met department has also expressed the possibility of water level of rivers increasing. Dr. SD Kotal said that Jamshedpur has recorded the highest rainfall of 74.4 mm in the last 24 hours, 50 mm of rain has been recorded at Chakradharpur, Manatu, Latehar etc.

In Ramgarh and Vishrampur, 40 mm of rain was recorded, Mander and Pakur have recorded 30 mm, while Jamtara, Chaibasa, Ramgarh, Medininagar, etc have had around 20 mm of rain in last 24 hours, Ranchi has recorded 10 mm of rain. At present, the turf line of monsoon remains over Ranchi. For the period from 1st June to 24th August, the lowest rainfall in the state has been reported at Deoghar. The expected total rainfall was 708 mm in Deoghar. But so far, it has received 47 per cent less rainfall with only 376.4 mm. Crisis looms over paddy crops in the district.
