Administration of corona patients will now be done via the ‘facility’ app in Jharkhand. The complete information and history of the patient right from the time patient’s report came positive for the infection to him getting admitted and subsequently release from the hospital will be included in the ‘facility’ app. Secretary-general of health department Dr Nitin Madan Kulkarni informed that it has now been started in all districts of the state.
As soon as CV app will be updated by the test centers, the complete information of the patient will reach the district administration through the facility app. The administration already has the list of all hospitals in the facility app. Now on the basis of the information in the app itself, the incident commanders would assess the situation of the patients and get them admitted to the hospitals in ambulances. The app will have the information for the number of beds and type of beds available in every hospital. The IDPC team will check the app and then guide the ambulances from the control room for which hospital should they take the patient to.
All private and public hospitals in Jharkhand have been added to the app. The information about the number of beds available in a hospital along with the type i.e. ICU, Ventilator, Normal etc. is available on the app. Dr Kulkarni informed that this app cannot be used by citizens. Only hospital and district administration can use it. The data in the app will be updated daily. The major advantage would be that the district administration would not only have the data of government hospitals but also private hospitals. Neither the patients nor hospital would be able to admit any patient by themselves. This app will help get all data to the district administration and will help in getting patients admitted.
