Achieving major success in curbing crime, Deoghar police arrested 18 cyber criminals after raids in Sarath, Pathrol police station and Pathradda OP area. These cyber criminals used to cheat the innocent people by accessing their ATMs, UPI IDs and e-wallets while posing as customer care representatives.
Based on the secret information received by the Superintendent of Police Ashwini Kumar Sinha, two teams were formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police and Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Sarath, and raids were conducted in Sarath, Pathrol and Pathradda OP areas.
Deoghar police has recovered 43 mobiles, 54 SIM cards, 32 passbooks, 14 ATM cards, 1 laptop, 5 chequebooks, 96 thousand cash, 1 two-wheeler and 1 four-wheeler during the raid.
