In some bad news for train passengers moving between Bihar and Jharkhand, starting today, Patna-Ranchi, Ranchi-Patna Janshatabdi Express and Danapur-Tata, Tata-Danapur Express will not run between the states. Both these pairs of trains have been cancelled until further orders. The Janshatabdi Express will run from Patna to Gaya. Both these trains will remain cancelled in Jharkhand and will not ply in the state. The East Central Railway has taken this decision on the request of the Jharkhand government. This will increase the difficulties for passengers travelling from Patna to Ranchi and Danapur to Tata. Jharkhand government has taken this decision given the rise in the number of cases of coronavirus in Jharkhand. Both these important trains have been cancelled until further notice to prevent the spread of infection in Jharkhand.
According to a release issued by Indian Railways, train No. 02365/02366 Patna-Ranchi-Patna Janshatabdi Express will only run between Patna and Gaya from July 13. The route from Gaya to Ranchi and vice versa will remain completely cancelled. Train No. 08183/08184 Danapur-Tata-Danapur Express has also been completely cancelled.
The Jharkhand government had requested the railways to cancel these two important trains coming from Bihar to Jharkhand. Addressing the request, railways have decided to cancel the operation of these two trains until further orders. The government decided to ban the operation of these trains after the increase in the spread of coronavirus infection in Jharkhand in recent times and the rapid increase in the number of corona patients.
